CADET magazine

The National Defence Academy of Latvia has commemorated the cadets who had lost their lives during the war, their selflessness and the love of Fatherland since its creation on November 30, 1992. An evening retreat takes place on the Academy grounds, after which the best graduate of the year is presented with General Hartmann's honorary sword. Later in the evening, cadets and invited guests gather at tables and enjoy rye bread, marmalade and barley coffee, share experiences and sing soldiers’ songs. It should be emphasized that traditionally, for Black Coffee Night, the National Defence Academy of Latvia publishes a magazine “Cadet” annually, which provides an overview of activities during the year and an insight into the next year, as well as offers cadet articles to readers of the magazine. 
The magazine “Cadet” is published only in Latvian.
