Opportunities for High School Students

The National Defence Academy of Latvia offers in-person visits for larger-scale educational events for high school students in Latvia and regionally organized career events. The National Defence Academy introduces students to study and extracurricular opportunities and options for students to ask questions of interest.

The education exhibition is the opportunity to learn more about the study programs implemented by the National Defence Academy, admission rules, and the selection process, as well as meet cadets and learn about their daily lives.

The National Defence Academy offers the opportunity to learn about study opportunities remotely. At this meeting, National Defence Academy cadets on the MS Teams platform will introduce students to the National Defence Academy and answer questions about studying at the Academy.

Job Shadow Day is a globally recognized career education program of the organization Junior Achievement for students in grades 1-12, during which it provides an opportunity to visit and observe the daily work of professions of interest.
The high school student can experience the role of a cadet for one day, getting acquainted with studies at the National Defence Academy. Together with the cadet, the student will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the faculty, study programs, and infrastructure, find out what skills are needed to study in the relevant program, and what opportunities are available outside of studies.

On the Open Days, students can visit all study directions, talk to faculty and students, visit the auditorium, and get acquainted with the library. They can also participate in various learning activities and ask questions of interest related to choosing the most suitable study program and admission rules.
